Absolutely addictive. If your knowledge of Japanese cuisine is limited to sushi, ramen and teppanyaki grill foods, give the "Stamina Bowl" or Sutadon a try. There are three flavors you can have for you pork bowl; garlic, ginger, or spicy. While both the garlic and ginger are definitely on point, and the garlic is their number one seller, I've fallen in love with the #3, spicy bowl. I believe they're using Korean gochujang chili for the heat, as that what it reminds me of. To me, it's not a brutally spicy dish; rather a constant, manageable pleasant burn. The bowls give you some customization options; white rice, brown rice, or my favorite: mixed grain rice which includes white, brown, red rice with millet, and some other grains to give a hearty, healthy chew. Your other customization option is a fried egg or a very soft boiled or steamed/poached egg. I recommend the boiled egg; it's lightly cooked so that you can break the yolk over the pork and rice, adding a richness to the dish as it oozes in. I haven't tried everything on the menu, but the tofu salad is a nice addition to a Sutadon bowl; dressings are self-serve and I recommend the soy-ginger dressing, even though there's a tiny bit of soy or some sort of dressing at the bottom of the salad. If Mitsuwa is crowded, be ready for a long line here, because this has become the most popular of the food court offerings, for good reason. If you want Japanese food that's a bit different than what you normally are familiar with, try the Sutadon stamina bowl here, again I recommend #3 spicy, mixed grain rice, steamed egg, and a side tofu salad. Itadakimasu!

garlic pork bowl NO.1!
Also oyako don (chicken) is good. BTW definitly visit the matcha place next to it. -
This place is my favorite in the Mitsuwa Marketplace! I would give it a 4.5 because I had to wait a little longer for my order, but I forgive it because there was a huge line. The cashier was so sweet, I messed up my order and she fixed it.
I ordered the Sutadon a while ago and tonight I find myself craving it's salty taste, and it's something I ate in Japan all the time when I was a student. So, it's authentic and tasty. I tried the fried rice, it's literally the BEST FRIED RICE EVER. They cook it individually and it's amazing! Their soup is okay, and the karaage is delicious, but one time it was warm instead of hot.
there is a seating problem in the food court, so I usually take my orders TO GO, which is AWRSOME, I'm pretty sure they're the only places that does TO GO orders. I'm coming back here all the time! - See More
